On Friday, June 15, 2018, Face2Face joined the Chicago Peace Rally and March alongside the B.R.A.V.E. youth group of St. Sabina Ark, March For Our Lives, Change the Ref, and Gabby Giffords. The event brought together activists, artists, and community leaders to call for an end to gun violence.
Performances and speeches by Jennifer Hudson, will.i.am, and Chance the Rapper inspired an audience of over 4,000 attendees, amplifying a powerful message of hope, unity, and change.
Leading the march was one of our mobile billboard trucks, flanked by hundreds of oversized, double-sided postershonoring victims of everyday gun violence from the community. Carried by members of The B.R.A.V.E. youth group, the posters featured powerful portraits on one side and a quote from student activist Trevon Bosley — who tragically lost his brother, Terrell — on the other:
“Everyday Shootings Are Everyday Problems.”
This rallying cry echoed throughout the march, amplified on social media as participants shared images of the posters and truck. The truck itself honored Terrell Bosley and Veronica Moser on one side and Joaquin Oliver and Courtlin Arrington on the other — a powerful symbol of unity in the fight against gun violence.

Unlike the NRA weekend activation, this event wasn’t about confrontation it was about unity and awareness. Focused on the devastating toll of everyday gun violence in underserved communities, the rally highlighted a sobering reality: as of June 10, 1,138 people had been shot and 213 killed in Chicago alone, according to Chicago Tribune data.
With Parkland student survivors and members of the March For Our Lives Chicago chapter in attendance, the event brought together a diverse crowd from across the city culminating in a powerful evening of peace, solidarity, and hope on Chicago’s South Side.
